We regularly receive messages from overseas amateurs players looking to play cricket for us.

Unfortunately, most requests are for paid positions, something which Read C.C. are unable to offer.

NONE of our amateur players are paid.

In fact, all players pay an amount every week just for the pleasure of playing and keeping the Club going!

Ours is a member's Club, run and financed by the hard work of the Committee and contributions from the membership.

However, anyone wishing to play for us can contact the Club Secretary, and maybe we'll see you at the nets.

EVERYONE is welcome!

Read C.C. is a thriving club - full of friendly people.

As a club we aim to play at our highest standard possible.

However, we realise the importance of a good team spirit and we pride ourselves on being a friendly and sociable club.

We are always looking for new players,

all you need is enthusiasm, a willingness to join in and a love of cricket.

A wife or partner who likes cricket and likes making good teas would be an advantage

not impossible to find, but almost, I know!

The only paid position at the club is that of the Professional.
